freeMercator program

Many—including myself—consider Gerardus Mercator the greatest cartographer of all time, and some even consider him the greatest scientist in the history of the Low Countries.
The e-book about Mercator (2022) also contains a homemade computer program (coded with/for the freeBasic compiler), this time to mathematically recreate Mercator's famous map projection from 1569 and comparing it with other basic map projections.
The program only occupies a "modest" place (as Appendix A).
However, the complete program - source code + executable -  is also available (for free) by contacting the author (blogger).
