INTRO

 This is a blog about Cartography, Mathematics/geo-metrics and Information-technology.

Like the teachings of ICT (Information & Communication Technology), Cartography or map-making is concerned with the recording and transmission of information. Cartographers, however, limit themselves to the domain of spatial data, i.e. data that is somehow bound to the Earth's surface. 

The HTTPSecured site contains ca. 50 historical e-atlases and 10 e-books (PDF documents). Use the top navigation panel to view the various e-atlases by continent. Use the left panel to view the published e-books and additional information.

It is a non-profit site - any potential proceeds from the publications go directly to a good cause: the training & support of surveyors/geodesists and cartographers, particularly in developing countries (FIG*).
